Valentine’s Day…you either love it or dread it. Whether you’re single, betrothed, married, or in the throws of a budding romance, it can be quite stressful to think up something fun to do.
Hey, why don’t you use this as an opportunity to explore doing something you’ve never done before. After all, it’s a special day on the calendar – so grab the bull by the horns and make it special, darn it!
Our ideas are for anyone…bring along your loved one, sibling, or best pal. Valentine’s Day is about love, and the beautiful thing is that it doesn’t matter what kind.
In The City
It’s easy to get stuck going to the same restaurants. Forget those bigtime restaurants with their prix-fixe meals and hard-to-get reservations. Pick out an intimate spot that you always walk by but never enter, and cozy up at a bistro that only seats 20.
If you’re super active and love to challenge each other, hit up an ice rink, driving range, or batting cage. If you’re typically a spectator, pick a new sport and check out a local roller derby.
If adventure is what you love, try doing what the majority of common folk do…chill out! Go to the movies, rent old-school video games, play a board game. Make it special by incorporating personal touches – it’s the thought that counts!
Do – It – Yourself
DIY is all the craze, so get interactive and create something you can keep. Embrace your inner creativity by attending a workshop to weave a loom, create a terrarium, paint a beautiful photo, or make a gourmet meal. The wonderful part is that most workshops allow you to bring wine!
