Pearl Me!

Pearl Me!

Pearls have reentered the fashion world in an unexpected way. We started seeing them on high-end designers’ runway shows a couple years ago – including Chanel, Lanvin and Oscar de la Renta – and now everyone is following suit. And what we’re seeing, we’re very happy about that.

These aren’t your grandmother’s pearls. Studs and strands are OUT. Modern updates and edgy takes on one of the world’s most historically significant jewels are IN.

Take these pearls of wisdom with you and get gutsy with your pearly choices.
On Your Ears…

Pearls seemed to have gotten lonely as a solo stud because every jewelry designer appears to be creating styles featuring pearls in clusters. Take these two for example. Multiples (think 40!) of tiny, precious pearls assemble together to create a stunning ear-hugging cuff earring. And then hit the other end of the spectrum with two enlarged pearls pieced together to shape an eccentric pair of front and back two-sided earrings.

In the Hand Region…

Pearls like these will never look outdated when they are coupled with a bomber jacket or leather shift dress. An avant-garde cuff adorned with oversized pearls creates the classic and futuristic juxtaposed trend that is so relevant right now. And this delicate pearl is all but dainty nestled into the geometric non-traditional two finger ring. Both looks scream rock ‘n’ roll.

Anywhere else…

Go high-fashion with an uncommon good that is so unexpected and will make heads turn. Wearing this pearl clutch shrieks glam, glam, glam. Couple the cutting edge of a multi-colored and multi-textured lace shirt with elegant pearl buttons and you have a unique look that no one else will have. And last but not least, if Queen B is wearing them, just go out and buy them already!
